... I'm Carol.
A writer, book lover, and soon to be the editor of your life story. I have written a little bit about my life here as well, to give you an idea of who I am and what I can do to help you tell your story.
Whether creating stories, diary entries or essays, writing for me has always been a passion, as well as a way of communicating my innermost thoughts whenever I need to express myself.
Telling other people’s stories is a privilege and one that I really treasure as I adore hearing about the unique challenges and achievements that others have gone through in their lives, and I am always encouraged and inspired to hear about others’ particular life journeys. The truth is that everyone has a story to tell, no matter how ordinary.

As an experienced sub-editor, writer, editor I have accumulated a wealth of experience in publishing after starting out as a freelance sub-editor/writer in the magazine industry in the UK. My career has involved working on a variety of well-known magazine titles and honing my writing and editing skills as a result.
For a number of years I have lived in Spain and, while here, I have also worked on English language newspapers and as an English teacher too. I do love living in Spain and coming here was not just a matter of moving to a new location but also heralded a new chapter in my own life, one with a new family, a new language and a different culture.
My passion for writing was re-ignited after deciding to return to full-time study at Soka University of America in Southern California. My creative writing and anthropology classes inspired my final project documenting the experiences of single mother students in Southern California.
It was a joy to interview these women and listen to their amazing struggles and dramas and then write about them and it inspired me to continue writing as a career. After I graduated with honours in 2015 I returned to Spain, my adopted home country, where I now live with my family.

I hope that if you do choose to allow me to tell your story, you will be delighted with the results and will also enjoy the process of having your voice heard and the most important moments of your life valued and recorded for posterity, creating your very own personal biography that your loved ones can treasure as a family keep-sake and record of your life.
The ups-and-downs and drama of life may seem ordinary or mundane at times but when you put it together as a whole, it forms a story that deserves to be heard. This unwritten book can only be told by the story’s protagonist – you. You hold the pen and can direct it however you wish.
